ਸੁਸ਼ਮਾ ਸਵਰਾਜ (ਜਨਮ 14 ਫਰਵਰੀ 1952-ਮੌਤ 6 ਅਗਸਤ 2019) ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਦੀ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਕੀਲ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ 26 ਮਈ, 2014 ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਨੇਤਾ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਸ਼ਮਾ ਸਵਰਾਜ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰ ਚੁਣੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। 1977 ਵਿੱਚ 25 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣੀ। ਉਸਨੇ 1998 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ 5ਵੀਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।[1]
2014 ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਮ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਚੋਣ 400,000 ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ[2] ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤੀ। ਸੁਸ਼ਮਾ ਸਵਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਾਲ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਜਰਨਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ 'ਸਰਵਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀਵਾਨ ਦਰਜਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।[3][4]
