ਨੂਨ ਮੀਮ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ

ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ( ਫਰਮਾ:ਉਰਦੂ ), (1 ਅਗਸਤ 1910 - 9 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 1975) ਆਮ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨੂਨ ਮੀਮ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ( ਉਰਦੂ : ن. م. راشد ) ਜਾਂ ਐਨ ਐਮ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਉਰਦੂ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਕਵੀ ਸੀ। ^[1]

ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਸਾਲ

ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੋਟ ਭਾਗਾ, ਅਕਾਲ ਗੜ੍ਹ (ਹੁਣ ਅਲੀਪੁਰ ਚੱਠਾ ), ^[2] ਵਜ਼ੀਰਾਬਾਦ, ਗੁਜਰਾਂਵਾਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜੰਜੂਆ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਕੈਰੀਅਰ

ਉਸਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। 1947 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਸਨੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਲਖਨਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਰੇਡੀਓ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 1942 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੂੰ 1947 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਸ਼ਾਵਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸਨੇ 1953 ਤੱਕ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵੌਇਸ ਆਫ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਨੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਸਿਟੀ ਜਾਣਾ ਪਿਆ. ਫਿਰ, ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ, ਉਹ ਈਰਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ . ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਸਨੇ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਨੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਰਦੂ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ 'ਆਧੁਨਿਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ' ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫੈਜ਼ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਫੈਜ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਉਹ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ ਕਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।

ਉਸਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ, ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਫੈਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਬੌਧਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਸਰ ਉਸਦੇ ਗੈਰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਲਈ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੱਧ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਤੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਿਆ। ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਨੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਈਰਾਨੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਦਾ ਸੰਪਾਦਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਉਸਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਸਨ, ਬਲਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਨਿਬੰਧ ਵੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ 'ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲ' ਦੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਰੂਪ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਰਦੂ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ 'ਮੁਕਤ ਛੰਦ ' ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਤਰਜਮਾਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ, ਮਾਵਰਾ, ਨੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਿਪੁੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗੀਤਕ ਹੈ। ਉਰਦੂ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਜਗਤ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਕਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸੈਕਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਰਜਿਤ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਿਛਲੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਪੱਕਤਾ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈਆਂ।

ਉਸਦਾ ਪਾਠਕ ਸੀਮਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਮਾਜਕ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕੱਦ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਠੇਸ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਜਾਪਦੀ ਹੈ। ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ, ਮਾਵਰਾ, 1940 ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਰਦੂ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਹਰੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਉਹ 1973 ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 1975 ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਡਨ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ^[1] ਉਸਦੀ ਲਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਸਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਸੀਅਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ਼ਦੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਰੂੜੀਵਾਦੀ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਰਕਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਹ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ ਉਰਦੂ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਹਸਤੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕਵਿਤਾ

ਐਨ ਐਮ ਰਸ਼ੀਦ 'ਤੇ ਅਕਸਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੈਰ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੋਸਤ ਜ਼ਿਆ ਮੋਹਯਦੀਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, "ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਵਧੀਆ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਸੀ, ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਜਾਂ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।"

ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ, ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਫੈਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੌਨ ਕੀਟਸ, ਰੌਬਰਟ ਬ੍ਰਾਉਨਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਥਿਊ ਅਰਨੋਲਡ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਟਰਨ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੋਨੇਟ ਲਿਖੇ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਮਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ

ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਫੀਆ ਦੀ 1961 ਵਿੱਚ 46 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਾਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ਼ ਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਬੀ-ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਸੂਏ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਵਿਆਹ, ਇੱਕ ਇਤਾਲਵੀ ਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਐਂਜਲਿਨੀ ਨਾਲ 1964 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਧੀ ਨਸਰੀਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਨ ਨਿਗਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੀ ਧੀ ਯਾਸਮੀਨ ਹਸਨ ਮਾਂਟਰੀਅਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਦੋ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ, ਅਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਰੋਜ਼। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਤੀਜਾ (ਭੈਣ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਈ (ਯਾਸਮੀਨ ਹਸਨ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ) ਫਾਰੂਕ ਹਸਨ ਡਾਸਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਕਗਿੱਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸੀ। ਫਾਰੂਕ ਹਸਨ ਦੀ 11 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2011 ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ^[3] ਤੀਜੀ ਧੀ, ਮਰਹੂਮ ਸ਼ਾਹੀਨ ਸ਼ੇਖ ਵਾਸ਼ਿੰਗਟਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਇਸ ਆਫ਼ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ। ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੀ ਧੀ, ਤਮਜ਼ਿਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਜਾਨਸ, ਬੈਲਜੀਅਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਨ।

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਯਾਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਿਦ ਦੀ 7 ਦਸੰਬਰ 1998 ਨੂੰ ਉਜ਼ਬੇਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਰਾਜਦੂਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਛੋਟਾ ਬੇਟਾ ਨਜ਼ੀਲ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ

ਉਸਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ " ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸੇ ਡਰਤੇ ਹੋ " 2010 ਦੀ ਬਾਲੀਵੁੱਡ ਫਿਲਮ, ਪੀਪਲੀ ਲਾਈਵ ਦੇ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਬੈਂਡ, ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਓਸ਼ੇਨ (ਬੈਂਡ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਆਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੂਬ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ "ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ "।^[4] ^[5]
