ਫਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਸਤੰਬਰ 2018 ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਫਿਲਮ ਜੱਸ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਕੁਅਲ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ ਹੈਰੀ ਭੱਟੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੁਝੇਵੇਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਰਟ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਈ। ਫਿਲਮਾਂਕਣ ਨਵੰਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਵਾਧੂ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਇਹ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੀਕਵਲ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ 29 ਮਾਰਚ 2019 ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਵਿਆਹੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਗੁੱਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਨਕੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਉਹ 16 ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਮਾਮੇ-ਚਾਚੇ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਲਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਬਣ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
