}}}} ਭਾਪਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿੰਘ (16 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1914 - 31 ਮਾਰਚ 2005[1][2]) ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮੋਹਰੀ, ਛਪਾਈ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਇਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਵਯੁਗ ਪਬਲਿਸ਼ਰਜ਼ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਧਰਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਟਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦਾ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਰਸਾਲਾ ਆਰਸੀ ਉਸਨੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਬਤਾਲੀ ਸਾਲ ਚਲਾਇਆ।[3]

ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 16 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1914 ਨੂੰ ਪਿੰਡ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂ, ਜਿ਼ਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਿਆਲਕੋਟ (ਬਰਤਾਨਵੀ ਭਾਰਤ, ਹੁਣ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਆਰੀਆ ਸਕੂਲ ਗੰਜੀਬਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਉਹ 1936 ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਗਿਆ।

1942 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਿਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਮੌਤ 1992) ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਬੇਟੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ:"ਜਯੋਤਿਸਨਾ (1945), ਰੇਣੁਕਾ (1953) ਅਤੇ ਆਸ਼ਮਾ (1960)।[5]

1947 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 1950 ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਂਦਨੀ ਚੌਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵਯੁਗ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਲਾ ਲਈ। ਇਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਸਨੇ 1958 ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਆਰਸੀ’ ਛਾਪਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਰੂਸੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਨਵਯੁਗ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਪਦਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
