ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਗਣਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੋਸਟ ਗਰੈਜੂਏਸ਼ਨ, ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੀ ਥਾਪਰ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ 'ਚ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ਆਪਟੀਕਲ ਕਰੈਕਟਰ ਪਛਾਣ (ਓ.ਸੀ.ਆਰ.) ਸਿਸਟਮ ਤੇ ਪੀਐਚ.ਡੀ. ਕੀਤੀ।
