ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਲੀ ਬਾਬਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹਰਦਿਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ (14 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1932 - 28 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2014) ਬਹੁ-ਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਕੋਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਦਾ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।[1]

ਜੀਵਨੀ

ਲਾਲੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਹਿਰਾਗਾਗਾ ਨੇੜੇ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਗੀਰਦਾਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। 1967 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਤਵੰਤ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਸੀ। ਲਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਦ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਕਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਰਚੁਅਲ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਮੌਖਿਕ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਜੁੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਬ ਗਿਆਨ ਵੰਡਿਆ।[2][3]

ਮੌਤ

ਲਾਲੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ 82ਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 28 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2014 ਨੂੰ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਗਏ।[4]
