}}}} ਹਰਜੀਤ ਅਟਵਾਲ (ਜਨਮ 8 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 1952[1]) ਇੱਕ ਪਰਵਾਸੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲੇਖਕ, ਨਾਵਲਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਾਣੀਕਾਰ ਹਨ। ਉਹ 1977 ਤੋਂ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰਜੀਤ ਅਟਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਵਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਪਰਵਾਸੀ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਹੈ।

ਅਟਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਵਲ ਮੋਰ ਉਡਾਰੀ ਲਈ 2015 ਦੇ ਢਾਹਾਂ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਨਲਿਸਟ ਰਿਹਾ।[2]

ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ

ਹਰਜੀਤ ਅਟਵਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਪਿੰਡ ਫਰਾਲਾ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਜਲੰਧਰ (ਹੁਣ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ। ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਭਾਰਤ) ਵਿੱਚ, 8 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1952 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੀ.ਏ., ਐਲ.ਬੀ., ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ 1975 ਤੋਂ 1977 ਤੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜੁਲਾਈ 1977 ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਨੇ ਪਰਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ।
