ਇਤਿਹਾਸ

ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਐਫ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ.ਟੀ.ਬੀ.ਪੀ ਦੇ ਉਭਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਭਾਰਤ-ਪਾਕਿ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ-ਚੀਨੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਸੀ।

ਰੈਪਿਡ ਰੂਰਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਸਪਾਂਸ ਸਿਸਟਮ

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੈਪਿਡ ਰੂਰਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਸਪਾਂਸ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਟੀ ਪੀਸੀਆਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਡਾਇਲ 100 ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਡਿਸਪੈਚ (ਸੀ.ਏ.ਡੀ.) ਸਿਸਟਮ ਅਪਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, 289 ਚਾਰ ਪਹੀਆ ਵਾਹਨ ਅਤੇ 724 ਜੀਪੀਐਸ ਫਿੱਟ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਅਪਰਾਧ ਜਾਂਚ ਏਜੰਸੀ (ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਏ ਸਟਾਫ)

ਕ੍ਰਾਈਮ ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਸੀਆਈਏ ਸਟਾਫ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਾਖਾ ਹੈ। ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਜਾਂ ਅਣਸੁਲਝੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਮਗਲਿੰਗ, ਅਗਵਾ, ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਅੱਤਵਾਦ, ਕਤਲ ਆਦਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਾਖਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ਼ ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ 2019 ਵਿੱਚ 4521 ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ਼ ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 7,772 ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਵਿੰਗ ਕਮਾਂਡ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਵ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬਿਊਰੋ ਆਫ ਇਨਵੈਸਟੀਗੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਸਿਵਲ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਹੈ:

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਲਈ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਕੇਡਰ, ਕਮਾਂਡ ਅਤੇ 4,000 ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਫੋਰਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਈਟ ਪਾਲਿਸਿੰਗ ਸਕੀਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹਾਈਵੇ ਗਸ਼ਤ

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਪੋਜੀਸ਼ਨਿੰਗ ਸਿਸਟਮ (ਜੀਪੀਐਸ) ਟਰੈਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਰਚ ਡਿਵਾਈਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਹਾਈਵੇ ਗਸ਼ਤ ਵਾਹਨ ਹਨ।

ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਭਰਤੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ (ਪੀ.ਆਰ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ)

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਭਰਤੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ (ਪੀ.ਆਰ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ) ਜਹਾਨ ਖੇਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਊਨਾ ਰੋਡ 'ਤੇ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ 10 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ' ਤੇ ਹੈ। ਪੀ.ਆਰ.ਟੀ.ਸੀ ਜਹਾਨ ਖੇਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਇੱਕ ਕਮਾਂਡੈਂਟ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਵੇਂ ਭਰਤੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਵੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੰਬਰ 1947 ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਕਿਮਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਗੜ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦਾ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਬਹਾਦੁਰਗੜ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਮਾਂਡੋ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੈ।

ਸਾਈਬਰ ਕ੍ਰਾਈਮ ਸੈੱਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਈਬਰ ਕ੍ਰਾਈਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਾਈਬਰ ਕ੍ਰਾਈਮ ਸੈੱਲ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਆਈ.ਜੀ. ਦਰਜਾਬੰਦੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐੱਸ., ਫੇਜ਼ 4 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫਤਰ ਹੈ।
