ਛਿਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਟਕਕਾਰ, ਨਾਟਕ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਰੰਗਕਰਮੀ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਦਮਨ ਦਾ ਲਿਖਿਆ, ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਦਾ ਨਾਟਕ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧ ਖੇਡੇ ਗਏ ਨਾਟਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ।^[1]^[2]^[3] 1981 ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਨਾਟਕ ਦੀ ਸੋਧੀ ਹੋਈ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨ ‘ਸਪਤਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਪਬਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ’ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਛਾਪੀ ਹੈ।
