ਜੀਵਨ
ਜੀਵਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 29 ਅਗਸਤ 1887 ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਮਕਬੇਨ ਮਹਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਅਮਰੇਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਬੜੋਦਾ ਰਿਆਸਤ ਦੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਮਨੁਬਾਈ ਮਹਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਈ ਸੀ। ਜੀਵਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਡਾ.ਏਦੁਲਜੀ ਰੁਸਤਮਜੀ ਦਾਦਾਚੰਦਜੀ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੇ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ। ਜੀਵਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਜੀਵਨ
ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜੀਵਰਾਜ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਬਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।[1] ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਤਿਆਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਜੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਗਏ (1938 ਅਤੇ 1942 ਵਿੱਚ)।
